Newest Songs

This week’s highlighted song

Today, I want to highlight one of my newest songs. I am normally not a hard rock fan, with blaring guitars and heavy drums. However, with my new song “The King Returns”, that style seemed the most appropriate.  Focusing on the expectations the people of Israel had for what their Messiah would be and the revolution they expected him to bring, the drama that surrounded the “different” type of messiah Jesus was is an incredible drama that deserves the most dramatic music.  Bear with the music and please let the lyrics tell the story.

My Newest Songs

Here is a list of my newest songs. More are listed on the "Favorites" and "Steve's Standards" pages, but these are the latest I’ve put together.  There is an additional page that has limited access for early song drafts and special songs for limited review. These are far from finished or were written for a specific person or occasion.

Most of my songs are an expression of my faith in our loving God who is very engaged in our lives.  If I get too churchy for your taste, that was not my intent - just writing what I am Feeling and experiencing.

My songs are all posted to a distribution service called Soundcloud. They are one of the best places to find new artists, so you may want to check it out. My music is all listed under Steve Russell KY.  All of my songs can be accessed by checking out the following Soundcloud website (just click the button)Here is a list of my newest songs.
